Frequently Asked Questions

Why are your dice so expensive?

In short, my dice are artisanal dice. Long answer, The dice cost what they do because of the materials used to make them and the time that I put into making the dice. Resins to make the physical dice are expensive, as is the silicone to make the molds. I use Entropy Bio-based Epoxy resin, Smooth-on Platinum Silicone, Black Diamond pigments mica powders, Nerpa Polymers Resin, Nerpa Polymers Liquid Colourant and Let's Resin non alcoholic inks/dyes. Please don't forget, to get you, your desired dice design, I also use a Resin 3D printer to print inserts and the master dice themselves. To add to all that I also 3d Sculpt inserts and the dice themselves. On top of that I sand and sand and sand and polish the dice, so they look nice and sparkly for you. You also get unique and one of a kind dice everytime.

Who makes Spectral Craft dice?

:) Hello, I am Alana, its just me. There is no big huge company, just little old me.

Why don't you have free shipping?

I am a small individually owned business and do not have thousands of shipments coming and going every day. I pay for shipping just like anyone else does and in Canada the shipping cost fluctuates A LOT.  It may seem like I am taking extra money from you, but more often than not the prices fluctuate and I end up eating the cost. Nom nom!

Do you make custom dice?

I sure do! If you would like a custom dice set design, specific font on your dice, colour choice, insert, scene inside your dice, I can do that, but please email me at [email protected]. It will be easier to get all the details hashed out over e-mail.
Please be aware that custom dice will cost more, as I will have to make molds and designs from your specfic request from scratch. Meaning I will need to buy extra materials and plan for a lot of extra time to make your dice ( and potentially only use it once), this includes 3D sculpting, 3D printing, sanding polishing the masters, molding the masters, printing and painting any insert, casting the dice, sanding polishing and inking the dice.
Customs also have a longer wait time due to the amount of time all of the above takes. It will roughly take a month plus shipping time to get you your custom orders. So please order ahead, if you are planning on getting anyone a special gift.

I will take only 1 custom dice set a month. After all its just me.
